Topicraft ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by Aka Labs (Package Name: com.akalabs.topicraft), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect and Process

A. Information Provided by You

Learning Topics & Prompts: When you use the "Craft My Course" feature, the learning topics or text prompts you enter are transmitted to third-party Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) services (such as Google Gemini API) solely to generate micro-learning course content, lessons, and questions.

B. Local Data Storage

Progress & App Data: Your course history, completed lessons, earned XP points, heart/life counters, and app preferences are saved locally on your device using local storage (shared_preferences). We do not upload or store your personal progress on external servers owned by us.

C. Information We DO NOT Collect

  • We do not collect personal identification information such as your real name, email address, phone number, physical address, financial details, or precise GPS location.
  • We do not create personal user accounts or require registration to use the App.

2. Third-Party Services & Data Processors

To provide core app functionality, Topicraft integrates third-party service providers. These services operate under their respective privacy policies:

  • Google Gemini API (Google LLC)
    Purpose: Artificial Intelligence course generation.
    Data Shared: Text prompts and topic titles submitted by users for course creation.

3. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your data:

  • Information transmitted to AI services uses secure HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • Local data remains strictly on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

4. Children's Privacy

Topicraft is designed as a general-audience educational app. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us so we can take immediate corrective measures.

5. Your Rights & Data Control

Since all course progress and data are stored locally on your device:

  • Access & Correction: You have full control over your local data directly within the App.
  • Data Deletion: You can delete all app data and progress at any time by going to your device settings (Settings > Apps > Topicraft > Clear Data) or by uninstalling the App.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within this document, and the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
